He said the outcome of the election was a resounding endorsement of the governor’s performance and the people’s mandate.
Mr Nkwocha said Mr Shettima arrived in the state to support the party’s candidate and attend other official engagements.
He alleged that some top politicians in the state influenced decisions that undermined internal party democracy.
Mr Doro replaces Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who became the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman in July.
APC spokesman Felix Morka, in a statement on Sunday, attributed the party’s victory at the election to the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
The group stated, “We view the composition of the task force as a statement of intent.’’
Mr Yilwatda reiterated the need to address irregular migration.
