Mr Babafemi said 14 grammes of methamphetamine concealed in bags of semovita and soles of ladies’ high-heeled shoes were also intercepted.
“A freight agent, Ewelike Chibuike Cyril, who presented the consignment for export, was subsequently arrested,” he said.
Mr Babafemi stated that the drug was concealed in a pair of black palm sandals packed in luggage en route to Jeddah.
The operation led to the arrest of a meth dealer, Mathew Bobby Imonitie, who was caught with 4.033kilograms of the illicit substance.
The consignment, which was concealed in packs of Nestle Cerelac baby food, was said to have weighed 23.55 kilograms.
