The Lagos politician disclosed his resignation in a letter to the ruling party headquarters on May 26.

The former senator had left ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the run up to the 2019 general election to realise his presidential ambition in PDP. But he failed.
Mr. Ganduje and his predecessor enjoyed long years of political and personal relationships before parting ways in the run up to the 2019 elections.
