Mr Iliya told journalists that the protest was to draw the authorities’ attention to their plight and demand urgent intervention.
Mr Nansel, however, said the victim was rescued unharmed along Nasarawa Road, Keffi, and has since been reunited with his family.
He also added that security operatives are already after the abductors to ensure the safe rescue of the victim.
He was released around 6:00 p.m. on Friday and has since rejoined his family after a medical checkup.
Likita Abubakar, 35, has been on the wanted list of the Nasarawa police command for armed robbery and kidnapping.
