Ms Fasawe appealed to the doctors to be patient.
Many patients at the accident and emergency unit of UCH were denied admission because there were no doctors to attend to them.
The ARD demanded payment of the MRTF and for the government to gazette it to forestall the recurring issues of non-payment.
Mr Osundara also highlighted the dire state of health infrastructure, noting widespread facility shortages and dilapidation.
Mr Yakubu said the suspension followed an emergency congress on Saturday, a series of meetings and interventions.
NARD also thanked the governor for upgrading security and surveillance architecture in and around the state teaching hospital.
Mr Martins urged Nigerians to cooperate with their leaders to ensure peace and economic stability in the New Year.
According to the doctors, it is the decision of the national executive council of NARD to embark on such action.
“I am further directed to request your good office to stop the salaries of all striking resident doctors with effect from July 26, 2023,” the letter read.
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has embarked on an indefinite strike.
