Deputy foreign affairs minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on Tuesday, reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to constructive engagement with the ECOWAS court.
Mr Gonçalve spoke at a meeting of ECOWAS ministers of justice aimed at validating two critical instruments of the community court.
The governor acknowledged the court’s efforts in addressing cross-border issues.
The court noted that the action was not for the benefit of the public, and the applicant didn’t demonstrate that the victims couldn’t be envisioned by the court.
The ECOWAS Court of Justice has elected Cape Verde’s Justice Ricardo Gonçalves as its new president.
