“When Akeredolu was alive, I used to advise and tell him about how life is and also warned him about the people around him,” Paul Akintelure said.
“He was a great achiever and legend who will continue to live in the minds of all of us,” Mr Maikyau said.
The rep member described Aiyedatiwa as a peaceful man who showed he wanted to work with everyone.
Mr Aiyedatiwa gave the charge on Thursday in Akure, shortly after Mr Adelami was sworn in as the new deputy governor.
“We accepted his death with mixed feelings. We never wanted him to go, yet we never wanted him to remain in that terrible condition of sickness,” said the minister.
Mr Akeredolu died at a German hospital on December 27, 2023, where he was receiving treatment.
