Mr Akeredolu, who returned from a medical vacation in Germany in September, has yet to resume official duties.
The leaders asked the party’s State Executive Council (SEC) to zone its governorship ticket to the district.
Banji Ajaka, the state’s Commissioner for Health, said the government was not relenting in fighting malaria.
“It is one big family and our father has intervened to bring all the children together.’’
He described the action of the former council bosses as an “impunity” being orchestrated by people in the government of the state.
“If the governor is not doing what he is supposed to do, we will question him. He has signed all bills brought before him. What we know is that the PDP is a dead party.”
They also demanded that the governor “resume or resign” within the next three days and cease governing the state by proxy.
Mr Ajulo said the protracted challenges Ondo State faces adversely affect its citizens’ well-being and hamper overall progress.
Egbe Omo Ilaje Worldwide has called on President Bola Tinubu, Afenifere leadership, and traditional rulers to intervene in a brewing political crisis in Ondo.
He also appealed to individuals, groups and organisations to assist, saying that government alone cannot do it.
