INEC stated that, since the commencement of online pre-registration, by week five (September 21), 5,385,060 Nigerians had uploaded their details to the CVR portal.
INEC has dismissed allegations of irregularities in its online pre-registration data for the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration.
INEC drew the attention of all political parties in Nigeria to the situation at its last quarterly consultative meeting.
The statement reiterated that the INEC would officially announce the resumption date through its verified channels at the appropriate time.
Mr Kunna said, “Once a petition is received and verified to meet legal requirements, INEC must first conduct a verification exercise at the affected polling units.’’
A presiding officer, Angela Oshogwe, in Ondo, says the BVAS machine could not capture the faces of some elderly voters.
