In a statement on its official X handle, the Lagos State government said the 18-year-old suspect was caught in the act around 10:00 a.m.
He said that RRS, in collaboration with Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), seized 85 motorcycles in different areas of the state on Thursday.
Mr Hundeyin said the suspects were arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) while holding an uncooperative victim hostage.
“If there is any unit that has assisted me in stabilising the state more, it is RRS.
The suspect, a member of a three–man gang operating in Otedola Bridge, Lagos, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., was arrested on December 10.
