In his testimony, Mr Adegoke told the court that though his cohabitation with his wife, Tawa, had produced two children, he deserted his matrimonial home to save his life.
“When I took note of Olasemo’s desperate attempt to use our two children for a money ritual, he became unhappy. He beat me.”
“She is free to go if she wishes, and I’m ready to cater for the children,” the husband said.
Mr Shittu, who has been married to Fisayo for 20 years, said he no longer loved his wife.
“No, there is no marriage between them. They are only cohabiting. They are merely living together in the same house.”
“My lord, due to Sola’s unhealthy attitude and meanness towards me, I am now living with my brother.”
“The major cause of conflict between Tawakalitu and I had always been her promiscuity, and I’m never convinced of her excuses.”
