The Jigawa government has approved N2.6 billion for the 2026 hajj.
The governor also assured the corps members of their safety during the three-week orientation.
The Jigawa Executive Council has approved over N2.65 billion as the 2026 Hajj operational fund.
He said the plan would provide quality environmental management, housing, transportation and economic zoning for growth.
He said the federal government allocated 12,000 bags of NPK fertilisers to the state at a subsidised rate of N33,000 per bag.
Mr Musa said the initiative was part of the government’s commitment to enhancing public health and addressing water scarcity in urban and rural areas.
The Jigawa government says it has enrolled 100,000 farmers into a digital platform to foster smart agriculture.
He said the council also approved the disbursement of N839 million to the 210 families affected by the Majia tanker explosion.
The information commissioner, Sagir Musa, disclosed this to journalists after the weekly executive council meeting on Monday.
The approval was announced in a statement by Sagir Musa, Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, on Thursday.
