A total of 74 AK-47 rifles, five locally made rifles, 5,398 live ammunition, and 11 pump action magazines were intercepted during the period.
The citizens were transporting harvested farm produce when the incident occurred.
The command said that the operatives rescued one kidnapped victim and recovered an AK49 rifle loaded with 24 live ammunition during the operation.

Items recovered were locally-made rifles, AK-47 magazine and rifle top cover, radio chargers, 11 mobile phones, three music boxes and others.
The bandits were said to have fled from the “superior firepower of the troops, leaving behind six kidnapped victims at their camp.”
A state government official said some of the terrorists are battling with life-threatening wounds.
