Mr Ogunbiyi described SAPZ as a strategic agribusiness model designed to support Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda through agriculture.
He said the initiative is designed to reposition the sector from raw commodity exports to value addition.
Governor Bala Mohammed has reaffirmed his commitment to meeting all international requirements necessary to secure a proposed $200 million agro-industrial investment.
The initiative, under the SAPZ Targeted Nutrition Support Programme, aims to support households across eight local government areas.
SAPZ phase two is expected to scale up climate-resilient infrastructure and inclusive agro-industrial growth across an additional 24 states.
Mr Shettima lauded the visionary leadership of Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo.
He said the SAPZ was part of the nine-point agenda of the governor.
