Market capitalisation fell by 0.57 per cent, shedding N726 billion from an opening value of N126.583 trillion to close at N125.857 trillion.
The Nigerian stock market rebounded on Thursday, with investors recording gains of N233 billion amid renewed buying interest in equities.
The All-Share Index (ASI) gained 1,303.04 points or 2.9 per cent to close at 46,232.37, compared with 44,929.33 on Tuesday, making it the highest since October 17.
Overall, the market was positive with 27 gainers relative to 14 losers.
Market capitalisation, which opened at N20.450 trillion, lost N24 billion or 0.12 per cent to close at N20.426 trillion.
BUA Cement, Portland Paints, SCOA, FBN Holdings and Zenith Bank stocks saw price depreciation.
Market watchers attributed the persistent lull to increased yield in the money market instruments which led to movement of funds.
