The SEMA official also said 261 hectares of farmlands were destroyed.
The items were handed over to the representatives of the affected communities by NEMA in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
Governor Babagana Zulum has constituted a 32-member committee on flood disaster relief distribution for victims of the Maiduguri flood.
Mr Zulum has called for NEMA’s support to resettle flood disaster victims in their respective communities.
NEMA said that the couple were rushed to the Armed Forces Specialist Hospital, Kano for treatment.
He noted that one of the causes of flooding in the city was blockage of waterways and drainages.
