Positive reports are expected in the mental health subsector in 2024, says Taiwo Obindo, the president of the Association of Psychiatrists of Nigeria.

“The NWC of the APC on Monday, May 23, approved a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the governorship, State House of Assembly, Senate and House of Representatives primary elections,”
Mr Obindo added that about 90 per cent of those who attempted to take their lives are known to have psychiatric problems.
Both chambers last week re-visited the electoral act amendment bill after President Muhammadu Buhari refused to assent to it.
