Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi have consulted with delegates of APC in Imo.
“What we need is a collaboration that will make the judicial arm of government to stand on its feet,” the senate president said.
Mr Lawan said he was the most experienced among other presidential aspirants, having served in the National Assembly since 1999.
Mr Kalu said his position was because no Igbo man loved the Igbo race more than he does.
The senate president said the Buhari regime has “done and is still doing well in tackling security challenges”.
The Senate has adjourned sitting till June 7 to enable lawmakers to participate in upcoming political parties primaries.
The Senate said the overall import of the bill is to discourage the rising spate of kidnapping and abduction for ransom cases in Nigeria.
Mr Amosun, now the senator representing Ogun Central at the National Assembly, notified his colleagues at the Red Chamber of his ambition via a letter which was read at plenary on Wednesday.
The vice-president was said to have briefed the caucus about his intention to run for the office of the president in 2023.
