There has been a running battle between Mr Daniel and Mr Abiodun, whose government in August marked the Sagamu residence and luxury hotel of Mr Daniel for demolition.
The planned demolition of Mr Daniel’s residence and luxury property last week shattered hopes of any possible reconciliation between the two APC bigwigs.
The development came barely two days after Mr Abiodun denied that the exercise was politically motivated.
Following the formal introduction of the bill, Senate President Godswill Akpabio advanced the proposal, passing it for its first reading.
