The senate had suspended the Kogi senator for six months over alleged gross misconduct.
Justice Oji then said that the court received a letter from the prosecution requesting an adjournment.
Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan is charged with defaming Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi.
She was also alleged to have, in a television interview, claimed that the Senate president and ex-Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, plotted to kill her in Kogi State.
The resolution followed a motion by Aniekan Bassey on the urgent need to safeguard Nigerians from trafficking, slavery, and human rights abuses in Libya.
Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan tasked the members to organise a pre-convention for cultural challenges in their respective states to get the best.
PDP said the action also comes as part of the antics being deployed several times by the APC-controlled Senate and the federal government to suffocate the opposition.
The embattled Kogi Central senator was at the court to watch proceedings.
The former lawmaker, who said he was disappointed at how the “needless” crisis was managed, believed it could still be resolved.
