The minister’s aide said the team would sustain the demolition of illegal structures in Kabusa until all illegal structures fueling insecurity in the neighbourhood were removed.
The illegal structures erected in swampy areas were inhabited by over 1,000 petty traders, comprising young men, women, middle aged and the old.
Mr Attah revealed that during the exercise, some arrests were made of people carrying illicit drugs.
The minister’s aide explained that the five persons arrested would be taken for investigation.
The minister’s aide said it was unfortunate that people were buying land from IDPs and building on swamps and waterbeds.
