Ms Dimanche warned that many young Nigerians still embark on risky migration journeys due to limited economic opportunities.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, officially received the facilities on Tuesday at Gyawana, Lamurde Local Government Area.
Ms Dimanche said the IOM desired to help the over 1.5 million Abia people in the diaspora serve the state better.
Ms Dimanche added that the organisation’s vision focused on promoting skills, mobility and knowledge exchange.
Ms Dimanche highlighted the importance of communication as a strategic starting point.
