NPA explained that 17 of the expected ships carried containers with different goods.
“We just witnessed global air temperatures, and global ocean surface temperatures set new all-time records in July. These records have dire consequences.”
NPA says two ships had arrived at the Lagos port complex and were waiting to berth with petrol and frozen fish.
The Nigerian Ports Authority listed the petroleum products as butane gas, petrol and automobile gasoline.
The ships were expected to arrive at the Lagos Ports Complex from April 21 to April 30.
