NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi said 75,000 kilogrammes of skunk were destroyed by NDLEA operatives at Esuk-Odot village in Cross River.
NDLEA operatives arrested 22-year-old Muhammad Mohammed, a supplier of illicit substances to bandits, in Kano.
According to Mr Babafemi, another suspect was also arrested the same day with 55kg skunk during a raid at his base in the Mushin area of Lagos.
“Two suspects, Auwal Mohammed and Abdullahi Abubakar have been arrested in connection with the seizure,” he added.
Some of the suspects were said to have been arrested with the support of the military deep inside an insurgents’ environment.
The operatives also arrested seven of the drug kingpins behind the syndicates in separate raids in Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue States.
