“NEC resolved that the nationwide strike that started on June 10, be suspended for a cool-off-period of 60 days,” COEASU stated.
The national headquarters directed all state-owned Colleges of Education to join the strike and press home their local demands.
The union is protesting the non-release of N15 billion and N18 billion revitalisation fund, among other failed agreements by the federal government.
COEASU further said the dilly-dallying posture of Mr Buhari’s regime to renegotiation of COEASU-federal government 2010 agreement remained unaddressed.
The COEASU is decrying the federal government aloofness to the Colleges of Education sub-sector.
