The governor said the beneficiaries were selected following recommendations by the Kaduna State advisory council on the prerogative of mercy after a review of eligible cases.
Mr Sani, “We are recruiting 1,800 medical personnel, from nurses to doctors every year, in the next five years. We have already started.”
The governor said the renewed focus on rural infrastructure followed revelations from last year’s town hall meetings which showed deep neglect across communities.
Ms Fakai Mr Sani wanted to bridge the gap in skills.
The certified LGAs are Jaba, Kaura, Giwa, Jema’a, Kudan, Kauru, Soba, Zangon Kataf, and Kubau.
She said the LGAs covered were Kubau, Zaria, Kauru, Sabon Gari, Kudan, Makarfi, Giwa, Ikara, Soba and Lere.
Ms Atta appealed to local government councils, traditional institutions and communities to support the commission in the survey.
Mr Ojo said no fewer than 4068 inmates would benefit from the initiative nationwide.
The official said it was imperative for the communities to take ownership of the facilities in their domain to ensure protection and sustainability.
The decision followed the submission of an investigation report on the financial activities of five local government chairmen.
