Mr Echono said that projects undertaken with the funds had remarkably impacted on the university mandate.
The governor said that Mr Ogbu’s outstanding achievements in office could not have been attained if he did not pass through politics.
“This obviously requires deliberate action on the part of all stakeholders to address our peculiar challenges,” he added.
The governor, who noted the educational decline of the state, said that the visit was necessary to ensure education takes its place.
He stressed the need for a robust collaboration between the Kano government and the agency to ensure improved education delivery.
TETFund has allocated N30 billion for disbursement to six universities, six polytechnics and six colleges of education under its 2023 special high-impact intervention.
TETFund said the move was part of efforts to improve employability in the country.
The executive secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, made this known during a courtesy visit to the fund by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State in Abuja.
Mr Umahi on Wednesday solicited a takeoff fund for the university when he visited the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Fund.
The new law extends teachers retirement age from 60 to 65, while service period has been moved from 35 to 40 years.
