The 20-year-old man is accused of stealing a speaker and cable from the Usman Ibn-Affan mosque worth N70,000.
The idea behind the Mosque was to replace the existing one, said to be small for the Muslim community praying in the National Assembly.
The development came shortly after a resignation letter, purportedly from the speaker, went viral in the early hours of Friday.
Mr Idaiye noted that the academy would equip workers with research tools to enhance effective service delivery.
The move was to enable the house to receive inputs from critical stakeholders before its consideration and possible passage into law.
The speaker, Abok Ayuba, who presided over the Tuesday plenary, was elected speaker by his colleagues in June 2019 but was impeached on October 28, 2021, by the assembly members.
“Through love, education and moral training to build an egalitarian society,” he said.
“I hereby wish to inform this House that I am no more interested in being your leader but have resigned forthwith,” the letter read.
At this stage, we must regard Nigeria as our country and resolve to unite to make it a better place for all.
The Speaker thanked his constituents in Agege and Lagosians for their support for the APC.
