Mr Mustapha said that the officer was allegedly found with some elements suspected to be cannabis and other hard drugs.
Yobe NSCDC commandant Adamu Zakari directed the deployment of the operatives across the state’s 17 local government areas ahead of the Sallah festival.
On Tuesday, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara Command, decorated 950 promoted officers with new ranks.
“We must ensure that we are awake to enable Benue people to sleep with their two eyes closed”, the statement said.
The commandant said that it was the responsibility of the corps to protect critical national assets and infrastructure, not to destroy them.
He also said that the command had expanded its intelligence network with a view to nip in the bud any security threat in the state during the period.
The removal follows the blockage of the entrance of the Rivers State Command of the NSCDC by members of NUPENG on Wednesday morning.
The command PRO hinted that efforts were on to arrest other accomplices in connection with the offence.
Mr Salihu said the exercise had been hitch-free with no case of examination malpractice and arrest, and the environment was conducive.
The operatives were drawn from Operations, Counter Terrorism, Disaster Management, Anti Vandal, and Chemical/Biological/Radiological/Nuclear Units of the NSCDC.
