“When this present administration came into office, we met a backlog of 48 months for pensioners and civil servants,” said the finance commissioner.
The commissioner added that the budget comprised N113.123 billion for recurrent expenditure and N86.8 billion for capital expenditure.
According to him, the government has also introduced a social intervention scheme that will help assist residents in all the state’s local government areas.
The supreme court had on Wednesday ruled that the old naira notes of N1000, N500 and N200 should continue as legal tender alongside the new notes until December 2023.
