A total of 16,625 houses were damaged by the disasters, and 1,620 farmlands submerged in Kafur, Danja and Ingawa LGAs.
The victim, Ginikanwa Izuoba, died when his house collapsed due to the impact of the flood.
SEMA said the flood destroyed thousands of homes in Jigawa on Saturday.
The warning is in connection to the frequent rains in August, which would last till the end of September and even part of October.
“I wish to appeal to the National Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Management Agency to come to their rescue,” said Quan’an Pan LG chair.
Seven members of a family, including a newborn baby, died during the downpour, according to SEMA.
176 houses were destroyed in the disaster in Kankara, while 154 houses were destroyed in Ingawa.
“As I speak with you, I’m homeless, with nowhere to. There is no money to even pay the hospital bills for the surviving two.”
The director stated that piracy on the waterways was one of the challenges that Nigeria faced in the Gulf of Guinea.
The disaster occurred during a heavy overnight downpour in which many people were injured in Kankara, Nasarawa and Matsiga communities.
