The Katsina government has constituted a seven-member committee to investigate alleged torture against personnel of the Hisbah Board.
Adamawa is seeking declaration that – “any deductions or withholdings made without constitutional backing are unconstitutional.”
Governor Abdullahi Sule stressed that citizens have a greater role to play in ensuring good governance.
The CP noted that the special court would assist the state in reducing the burden on regular courts.
“I don’t know why I wouldn’t associate myself publicly with a person like Aregbesola.’’
The programme was part of the state government’s commitment toward reducing the poverty headcount index in the state.
He said Mr Fubara would use the 20-day programme to inform the people of Rivers what his administration had done during his one year in office.
“It is with a heavy heart that I want you to know that we share in your pain.’’
The governor said that the state government had finalised the necessary arrangements.
The governor noted that the measures were part of strategies to curb crime in the state.
