The governor also directed the commissioner of police to investigate the allegation.

Mr Alia reminded the pensioners that he had been faithful to his campaign promises by paying their monthly allowances.
He said the HPV vaccine also protects young girls before exposure to the virus to reduce incidences of the devastating disease.
The workers, however, attributed the reasons for the walkout to insincerity on the part of the government regarding the scheme.
“Therefore, the officers and men of the NDLEA must remain impervious to these temptations,” the NDLEA chairman added.
The governor said the investigation was necessary following several petitions against the institute’s management.
He said the budget was jerked up to N239,084,199,757 as against the main 2023 budget, representing a 27 per cent increase.
He said that the recent flood resulting from a downpour had collapsed the only road connecting the community to other communities.
“We are now able to play in the generation, transmission, and distribution segments of the electricity market,” the governor said.
