Sterling Bank says it is partnering with Sterling One Foundation and other stakeholders to launch a nationwide environmental campaign to tackle plastic pollution.
Mr Bamigboye said a notice of investigation was duly served on April 1, in line with the commission’s procedures.
A statement on Wednesday by Abubakar Suleiman, chief executive, Sterling Bank, said that in 12 months since its go-live, SeaBaas has processed over two billion transactions.
“We’re talking about significant amounts of money that can make a real difference in people’s lives,” said Sterling Bank.
With this investment, EBID’s total commitments in the sub-region amount to $4.5 billion.
The Nigerian Exchange Ltd rebounded on Tuesday, reversing several days of bearish trends, with a gain of N101 billion.
The bank said, “We believe access to your own money shouldn’t come with a penalty.’’
Many bank customers have called on financial institutions to compensate them for their losses due to unstable online networks.
Other banks whose records are to be scrutinised by the committee include Keystone, Zenith Bank, Sterling Bank, Polaris Bank, FCMB, Ecobank and Wema.
In separate interviews on Sunday in Abuja, the bank customers said the move negated the financial inclusion initiative of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
