Analysis of the market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session.
The market capitalisation closed at N45.523 trillion, representing N1.93 gain or four per cent compared to N43.597 trillion recorded on Monday.
Market breadth was negative as 17 stocks were on gainer’s table while 26 on the laggards.
The Nigerian equities market on Thursday reversed its three-day bullish streak due to profit-taking, mainly in stocks of Airtel Africa.
The All-Share Index advanced by 52.52 points or 0.11 per cent to close at 49,652.25 against 49,644.92 achieved on Wednesday.
The volume of shares traded closed lower as investors bought and sold 146.99 million shares worth N2.65 billion in 3,180 deals.
In all, investors staked N4.12 billion on 128.79 million shares exchanged in 3,492 deals.

The market capitalisation inched lower by 0.05 per cent to close at N22.566 trillion from N22.578 trillion on Monday.
The All-Share Index dipped 23.25 points or 0.05 per cent to close at 43,707.30 from 43,730.55 posted on Tuesday.
