Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar and is identified as one of the four sacred months of the year.
Abubakar enjoined traders to neither hoard food products, nor unduly hike the prices of consumer goods during the month of Ramadan fast.
“Hence, I have directed all my council members and district heads to provide adequate security to the corps members,” stated Mr Abubakar.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, has been appointed to chair a stakeholder advisory committee on insecurity.
“It doesn’t take anybody to know that Nigeria is in a very bad situation and it is a fact,” the Sultan said.
