Bryan Luka, the representative of the affected families, appealed in an interview on Wednesday in Jos, the state capital.
“Today they (governors) are owing workers because they believe they don’t need the mandate of the people again.”
“The state government has remained committed to the welfare of civil servants as demonstrated in the prompt payment of salaries over the years.”
The backlogs of entitlements date back to military regimes and civilian administrations.
“I want to assure all workers that efforts are being made to clear the backlog of these two months’ salary on or before the month of November this year.”
