Mr Tinubu welcomed the court’s verdict as a boost for governance.
The government advised residents in Abia to feel free to carry out their financial transactions using the old and new naira notes.
A petty trader, Madam Uloma, also said she wouldn’t accept the old notes, saying, “until I hear from the horse’s mouth, I will not collect the old notes”.
“The position of the government and the CBN will be made known upon the determination of the suit coming up tomorrow (today),” said the Presidency.
The Council of State had of Friday advised the CBN to allow the new and old naira notes to co-circulate to ease the pains and sufferings of Nigerians.
