At least 100 psychiatric doctors left the country to practise abroad in one year, says Taiwo Obindo, the president of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria.
“One can say that an average Nigerian is put under pressure. More Nigerians are more distressed now than before,” said Mr Obindo.
Mr Obindo, the president of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria (APN), said this in an interview in Lagos.
The Association of Psychiatrists of Nigeria has urged the federal government to ensure local production of most drugs to reduce the prices of drugs.
