Mr Turaki, in a statement on Wednesday, extended warm felicitations to Christian members of the party and the wider Nigerian community.
Mr Amupitan said the commission was mindful of the need to maintain the sanctity of the constitution, the Electoral Act, and the guidelines.
The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Tanimu Turaki, assured Nigerians of the party’s commitment to internal democracy and fairness on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mr Adeleke announced his resignation from the party on Tuesday.
Mr Damagum stated, “We are a party to beat; that is why they are trying to frustrate us.”
“Such a statement is not only unpatriotic but exposes an alarming inferiority complex that continues to plague some of our so-called politicians and political leaders,” said Mr Bello.
Mr Turaki had called on foreign powers to save Nigerian democracy over a leadership tussle at the party secretariat on Tuesday.

Mr Turaki said that as law-abiding citizens, his team had gone to inform the FCT police commissioner of the planned inaugural NWC meeting with stakeholders.
