The permanent secretary of the State House says retired State House workers are among the first set of federal civil servants to benefit from the new gratuity scheme.
Mr Fashedemi said that the shift to solar systems at the State House Medical Centre in May 2025 provided a sustainable electricity supply for the facility.
“If we don’t celebrate ourselves, nobody will celebrate us,” said the State House perm sec.
Mr Fashedemi described the contract as a solemn pledge aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for a more productive and responsive public service.
With the MOU, private-sector projects on fertiliser production, hybrid seed technology and agricultural financing were projected to attract $4.3 billion.
He said the proposed training was designed to equip participants (youths and women) with broad knowledge and practical skills in handling agricultural machinery.
Mr Fadeshemi advised beneficiaries to utilise the inputs and warned against diversion or sale of the farm inputs.
