The source said that 25 suspects were apprehended in Bayelsa State and two in Delta State in connection with oil theft.
On Saturday, police officers and State Security Service (SSS) operatives fired teargas and live rounds at protesters and journalists in Abuja.
”Security measures have also been taken to prevent further attacks,”he said.
NAF said that the location was suspected to be sites for IED manufacturing and storage areas.
The army reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts with the public to fight terrorism and other forms of criminality.
DHQ spokesman Edward Buba said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
The Nigerian military said it killed 2,245 terrorists and apprehended 3,682 terrorists and criminal elements between April and June.
“The rescued passengers have been taken into safe custody, where they are receiving necessary care and support.”
The DHQ said the troops also apprehended 15 perpetrators of oil theft and denied oil thieves an estimated sum of N1.07 billion in the Niger Delta during the week.
Mr Buba said the troops recovered 97 assorted weapons and 3,117 assorted ammunition during the week.
