Mr Oluyede expressed appreciation to officers and soldiers who remained at their duty posts while many Nigerians celebrated with their families.
The CDS reaffirmed the commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to defend the nation’s territorial integrity.
The CDS called for a unified national approach to combating hunger and poverty, stressing their growing impact on Nigeria’s internal security.
He said that Nigeria as a nation was going through several challenges that required all hands on deck.
“Turji’s capture is imminent,” Mr Musa said while briefing journalists on the military operations across the country on Tuesday in Abuja.
