He said the ministry strengthened monitoring, enforcement and compliance operations to ensure stricter adherence to environmental laws.
“The Yakoyo restaurant not only broke the government’s seal, but they went further to unleash armed thugs on officials who were lawfully carrying out their duties,” said Mr Wahab.
The commissioner faulted some developers of continuing construction while engaging the government in talks for a resolution.
Mr Wahab noted that the order for the closure is to instil compliance in markets around the state.
