The number of cows slaughtered daily in Lagos has dropped from 5,000 to 3,000, says the Lagos State Butchers Association.
LCCI said this in a statement on Tuesday by its director-general, Chinyere Almona, in reaction to the November inflation rate figure of 34.60 per cent.
The Federal Executive Council has approved a $2.2 billion financing programme for external borrowing, including a potential Eurobond and Sukuk bond offer.
The company blamed “the prevailing economic realities which have impacted significantly on our current cost of doing business” for the price increase.
The resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance by Ibrahim Isiaka (APC-Ogun) during a plenary in Abuja on Thursday.
