The Lagos government has urged children to speak out against all forms of violence and abuse.

Ms Vivour-Adeniyi stressed that men should not abandon household duties to women alone, but rather embrace them jointly for the peace and progress of their families
Mrs Vivour-Adeniyi said that sexual and gender-based violence concerns everyone.
Mr Pedro stressed the need to ensure survivors’ psychosocial well-being and urged the public to report cases promptly.
Ms Odukoya said that though some persons did not engage in such violence, they became part of the perpetrators by advising the survivors to keep silent.
He urged men to always speak up and have at least five persons they could rely on to discuss their mental health issues.
“The government training is to renew survivors’ confidence and financial independence, following their traumatic experiences.”
Ms Vivour-Adeniyi said despite being aware of their partners’ abusive behaviour, some survivors still married such people.
The Lagos government, through its Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), on Tuesday called for more attention on boys.
