The agreement between the government and labour was signed following a series of meetings that started on Thursday.
The organised labour unions in Cross River say it is set for the industrial action as proposed by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over the implementation of the new minimum wage
He said the decision for the warning strike was arrived at following the meeting of various organs of organised labour in the state on Tuesday.
“The federal government’s chart must be used and not for the state to adopt a discriminatory package for workers on different grade levels,” the NULGE president said.

He added that the governor had also advised the organised private sector to take a cue from the policy.
He said FG planned to distribute over 500 CNG buses and 100 electric vehicles in the first instance.
“Our relationship is like a family, where dependents and children ask the father for more resources,” he said.
“You have to cut your coat according to the available cloth,” he said.
The NLC and TUC, on Tuesday, suspended their industrial action for five days.
