The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company announced an impending power interruption in parts of its franchise areas between January 6 and January 21.
TCN listed the areas to be affected to include Kubwa, Karu,Maraba, Nyanya,Masaka,Keffi, Kukwaba, and Apo Mechanic.
FCTA said it crushed more than 470 motorcycles impounded for operating illegally in Abuja.
NEMA has advised Nigerians to minimise interlocking bricks and create green areas in their homes to avoid flooding.
A heavy downpour on June 23 submerged 116 houses in the estate.
About 2000 houses in the estate are set to be demolished by the FCDA. The demolition would displace about 40,000 people.
He mentioned that buildings in Trademore Estate had been identified for demolition.
FEMA has said that more than 116 houses were submerged at the estate following a heavy downpour.
He added, “my heart goes out in sympathy to all those who are affected by this unfortunate flooding incident.
The company said that the interruption was to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), to carry out maintenance on its Apo substation.
