Forty-six people were charged with offences such as attempting to corrupt a marshal on duty, overloading, and driver’s licence violations, among others.
The corps spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, stated in Abuja on Saturday that the opinion was baseless, unfounded and did not reflect the position of the FRSC.
“Let us introduce Sharia Law into road crashes, and people will wake up. Our people are too careless, and the vehicle owners don’t bother to check them.”
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) sector command said it prosecuted 1,008 traffic offenders in July 2021.
