Mr Kangye stated that another suspect was caught with N3 million ransom cash in Bassa LGA.

Mr Buba said that troops were also actively targeting terrorist logistics bases.
The DHQ said 196 terrorists, comprising 19 adult males, 70 adult females and 107 children, surrendered to troops between August 28 and September 4.
“The remaining terrorist ran in disarray, and the troops are in hunt of the remnant terrorist that fled the firefight,” the DHQ said.
“Accordingly, they were handed over to the Borno state government for further action,’’ The DHQ said.
The DHQ said 1,157 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist fighters and their families surrendered to troops in the month.
Mr Buba said the troops also rescued 4,488 kidnapped hostages.
Mr Buba added that 27 vehicles, 25 motorcycles, and 38 mobile phones, among other items, were also recovered from the criminals.
